American Red Cross Disaster Responder Training
The American Red Cross- KY Region will be hosting a special ‘Heroes Needed’ disaster responder training event. Participants will be able to register as new volunteers and receive basic skills to immediately become a disaster responder. Specifically, the training will have several different tracks include sheltering, disaster health services (open to current or retired medical personnel with active licenses/certifications – DR/Nurse/EMT), Logistics and Staffing.
Red Cross disaster volunteers are trained to respond to all types of disasters, both locally and nationally, and the training event is a great opportunity for new volunteers to fast track that training into a couple of days. Participants will also have a chance to interact with Red Cross staff and other volunteers to learn more about the Red Cross.
Those interested in attending should contact Stacy Taylor-Bernard at email@example.com or (502) 612-9202
