Accessible from the Garrard County Extension Office at 1302 Stanford Rd., this 1.1 mile loop is a nice retreat right in the city limits of Lancaster and follows the contours of the Lancaster/Garrard County Reservoir. There are park benches at various points around the trail to relax and enjoy the scenery, which includes one of the largest chinquapin oak trees in Kentucky. In 2013 the Fiscal Court obtained a grant from Bluegrass Greensource to plant 700 flowering Redbud trees and 200 Silky Dogwood trees around the trail and lake. There is an abundance of wildlife in the area with some good fishing in the lake. Moderate difficulty.
