Solid Waste Enforcement

The Department acts on complaints from the public regarding matters of solid waste. These include garbage and dumping, unmowed grass and weeds, accumilation of vehicles on a property, tires, dilapidated buildings, littering and illegal burning.

Complaints are kept anonymous.

* Open burning is not permitted from 6 AM to 6 PM without the approval by a local fire chief. No materials should be burned other than clean lumber, uncoated paper, cardboard and vegetative debris.
